The Eloquent Woman's weekly speaker toolkit

I read a lot about women and public speaking, and post my finds first on The Eloquent Woman on Facebook. But I always collect them h ere for you on Mondays as well. Here's what I've been reading lately:

• Times two: A must-read from Susan Faludi, about the two ways women protest, and how they need to come together for real progress to be made..
• Use that mic! After proposed sessions about harassment were rejected, and complaints were not addressed, a woman speaker used part of her presentation on another topic to call out the conference for not protecting women attendees.
• Did you miss? This week, the blog looked at the outlook for women and public speaking in 2018, and Famous Speech Friday shared a guest post by Imogen Morley on Dolores Ibárruri's 1939 speech ‘¡No Pasarán!’.
• About the quote: Wisdom and encouragement from the great Maya Angelou.
